Rain isn’t something that you should be worrying about on your wedding day. The last thing you want to be doing is checking the weather forecast weeks (or even months) in advance in the fear of wet weather! If you are prepared then there is absolutely no need to be stressing about it. Below are some of my top tips to help you be prepared on your day!
Purchase a clear umbrella
Clear umbrellas look great in photos as they aren’t distracting. Make sure to get enough for your entire wedding party (one per couple)
This is particularly important if you are having your couple session in a paddock or you have to walk a fair distance. Bring a pair of boots so that you can keep your heels clean.
Have some make-up handy so that you can touch up after the couple session. This way you will feel fresh before heading into your reception.
Wear a hat
If it goes with your style of the day consider incorporating a hat into the shoot! We had rain and 50km winds in the shot pictured above. We were able to get amazing photos whilst keeping Jess’s hair dry and under control with this stylish Will and Bear hat!
Remember what the day is all about… to marry the love of your life! Who cares if your dress gets a bit dirty or if you have to have an umbrella in your photos (which look cool anyway). These small things DON’T MATTER. All that matters is the one you are starting this grand adventure with.
