An epic two day vow renewal in some of the most beautiful locations in New Zealand!

As a photo/video team that has travelled to over 40 countries, we have to admit that New Zealand is up there as one of our favourite destinations. It is a photographer’s dream and an adventurer’s paradise, so we truly believe that it is the perfect place for someone looking for an adventure elopement or vow renewal. 

Which brings us to Katerina and Lukas’ day, or should I say 2 day adventure! Katerina and Lukas, originally from the Czech Republic, had an elopement in Vegas nearly five years ago but they never got the elopement photos of their dreams. So when we had the chance to create an unforgettable experience for them in New Zealand we were beyond excited!

Getting ready at the stunning Stoneridge Estate in Queenstown

Katerina and Lukas began their unforgettable adventure at the breathtaking Stoneridge Estate in Queenstown. This beautiful property is nestled in the heart of New Zealand’s South Island. Surrounded by the incredible Southern Alps and overlooking Lake Hayes, the estate blends luxurious accommodation with breathtaking natural beauty, providing an ideal backdrop for couples seeking a romantic escape. 

Katerina and Lukas spent the morning getting ready, writing their vows and building anticipation for their adventurous day ahead. 

A Wanaka helicopter adventure

Now if you’re looking for an EPIC experience in New Zealand, a heli ride is a must! There are hundreds of locations to choose from but one of our favourites is Coromandel Peak which we visited with Katerina and Lukas.

Coromandel Peak is just a 15 minute flight from Wanaka (you can also depart from Queenstown if you want a longer flight experience) and do you want to know the best thing about Coromandel Peak? It is privately owned, which means you’re guaranteed to be the only ones there! Situated just below the famous Roys Peak, you’ve got the best seat in the house for awe-inspiring views in every direction—without having to hike for 6 hours!

We flew with the incredible Wanaka Helicopters who made the whole experience amazing and we could not recommend them highly enough!

Vow renewal at Milford Sound

The following day, we all road-tripped to the awe-inspiring Milford Sound for Katerina and Lukas to read their vows. Milford Sound is one of our favourite locations in the whole of New Zealand. Nestled in Fiordland National Park, Milford Sound is renowned for its incredible natural beauty and dramatic landscapes. 

Picture this, towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, crystal clear waters, dolphins, kayaking, cruise adventures, helicopter rides and more! Milford also holds a special place in our hearts due to its similarities to Norway, our favourite place in the world and where we eloped ourselves!

The dress, or should I say, dresses!

Why settle for one dress when you can have two? Katerina chose to wear two distinct dresses on each day of our shared adventures by the one-and-only Boom Blush, a local New Zealand designer. For our helicopter adventure, Katerina went for a dress with long, dramatic sleeves that billowed in the wind, adding a touch of theatrical flair to our high-flying escapade.

The second dress, chosen for our serene day at Milford Sound, showcased an exquisite star cape. Katerina’s choice of attire not only complemented each unique setting but also added an extra layer of magic to our unforgettable journey through New Zealand’s breathtaking scenery.
