There’s something undeniably magical about Wilsons Promontory, especially when it serves as the backdrop for a love story as romantic and adventurous as Georgia and Andrew’s. Their recent engagement session was a blend of laughter, stunning landscapes, and intimate moments, captured through photographs and video over two unforgettable days.

Planning a Personalised Adventure Session

During the early planning stages, Georgia and Andrew mentioned their love of adventure, camping and stand up paddle-boarding and we knew that we had to include something adventurous in their photoshoot! When they said that Wilsons Prom was one of their favourite places in the state, we quickly jumped at the opportunity to venture down to this stunning location.

We planned a two-day adventure that would capture not only their adventurous spirit, but also serve as a romantic reminder of their engagement. Wilsons Prom is one of our all-time favourite places for photoshoots in Victoria. With its incredible beach locations, diverse activities like hiking and paddle-boarding, and its serene atmosphere, it provides the perfect setting for both adventure sessions and elopements.

Our goal was to create a personalised experience that highlighted Georgia and Andrew’s unique bond while showcasing the natural beauty of this remarkable location.

Day 1 – A Sunset Picnic on the Beach

The adventure began with a sunset picnic on the pristine beaches of Wilsons Prom. We chose Whisky Bay for the picnic for this special moment, as it’s one of Georgia and Andrew’s favourite beaches. For 1.5 hours, they indulged in a delicious picnic, read heartfelt love letters, explored the stunning rocks and shoreline, and watched the sky transform into a cotton candy dream.

The highlight of the evening? An unexpected yet hilarious moment when a group of cheeky seagulls decided to join their picnic and stole their snot block – a local delicacy known as the vanilla slice. Amidst the laughter and efforts to shoo away the birds, we managed to capture some truly magical photos of their joyful interaction and the picturesque setting.

Day 2: A Sunrise SUP Adventure

Day 1 was all about romance, sunsets and more traditional engagement photos, day 2 was the day for adventure! The weather the next day was going to get wet and rainy, so we decided to get up early for sunrise before it got too bad. Georgia and Andrew were absolute superstars even though it was cold and drizzly, they rolled with it and still had the best time! We went to the beautiful Tidal Ricer where they enjoyed one of their favourite pastimes: Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP).

Engagement Highlights Video

Don’t miss their highlights video below! We love capturing engagement sessions on video, especially the intimate moments like reading love letters and the genuine excitement for their wedding day—elements that truly come alive in motion.

A Perfect Blend of Adventure and Romance

Georgia and Andrew’s engagement session at Wilsons Promontory perfectly encapsulated their adventurous spirits and deep connection. From the laughter-filled picnic at Whisky Bay to the serene sunrise paddle-boarding on Tidal River, every moment was a beautiful reflection of their love.

Capturing these authentic, joyful experiences against the backdrop of one of Victoria’s most stunning locations was truly a privilege. We take great pride in crafting personalised experiences for our couples, ensuring that each session becomes more than just a photoshoot—but instead transforms into a memorable adventure.

We’re thrilled to have been a part of their journey and can’t wait to capture their wedding next year!
