Your wedding morning will be full of excitement, anticipation and unwavering love. With so much of your time and attention to detail poured into this momentous day, it’s natural that you might also feel a little nervous! That’s why spending the morning of your wedding day with your partner can be an incredible way to ground yourself and embrace the excitement of the day ahead!
The morning of your wedding day is a shared experience that you can cherish together. It’s a time to support each other, laugh together, and share in the anticipation of what’s to come. It’s the perfect opportunity to embrace your feelings and be actively present with your love.
Whether you want to make the most of your morning hours or you prefer to take things at a slower pace, here are some of our favourite ways to spend your wedding morning with your partner.
1. Watch the Sunrise
The memories of rising before the sun and getting to watch as it rises on your wedding morning will be ones you cherish for the rest of your life. It’s a one-of-a-kind, memorable event that you’ll always cherish, and can be a beautiful part of your love story!
Bonus Tip: Grab a blanket, and a warm cup of coffee and snuggle in together as you watch the sunrise on your wedding day!
2. Enjoy Breakfast Together
Whether you want to cook up a storm and prepare your favourite meal together or spend your morning in a local cosy cafe, there’s nothing better than starting the day with the one you love, surrounded by some tasty food and creating some beautiful memories of your wedding morning!
3. Explore Your Nearby Area
Explore the sights and sounds of your wedding day by taking a stroll or driving around the area. Sometimes your best memories will come from unexpected places and you never know what you might discover by exploring your nearby surroundings!
4. Share a Dance
Sometimes the best way to shake off any nerves is to turn up the music and dance together! Enjoy each other’s company by playing your favourite song, showing off your best moves and losing yourself in endless laughter!
5. Write Love Notes
Before your ceremony, you can spend some time writing love letters to each other. Not only is this a touching and meaningful approach to expressing yourself and setting the tone for the day, but it also allows you to have a beautiful memento of your wedding day to cherish and remember!
Bonus Tip: You could also spend this time writing out your vows in preparation for your ceremony!
6. Get Ready Together
If you’re getting ready in the same location, why not consider getting ready together? Getting ready together lets you share the experience and excitement that builds in anticipation of your ceremony. You can help each other get dressed, finalise any finer details, exchange any gifts or letters, and share in the excitement of the day!
7. Have a First Look
If you’ve opted to not get ready together but would love to share some time together before your ceremony, definitely consider having a first look with your partner. A first look is a special and emotional moment that allows you to fully embrace the excitement of your day in the privacy of your own company.
Bonus Tip: You can still have a first look even if you choose to get ready together! You can spend the time getting yourselves ready until the moment you change into your outfits. At that point, you can separate and come back together for your first look!
